This is a brief over-view of Continental Camera's policies. All of the policies are available for review in-store by request.
REFUNDS & RETURNS: All returns must be made within ten days of purchase. A store credit will be issued for the full amount of returnable items. If you do not want a store credit and just want your money refunded there is a 10% restocking charge. Purchases made with a credit card will have 90% credited to the charge card you used or in the form of a check if paid by check or cash. There are no cash refunds. There are no cash refunds. No refunds on shipping and insurance. Items that are not returnable include, but are not limited to, film, batteries, paper, parts, bulbs, chemicals, books, special orders, consignments, gift certificates and packages with broken seals that are not resealable. Filters cannot be returned unless defective, and then only for the same filter. Returns must be in new condition with receipt and all packaging and complete warranty cards not filled out.
DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE RETURNS: Stock items returned within 10 days in new condition (except for the defect) with store receipt, complete with blank warranty cards and original packaging, will be replaced by Continental Camera with the same or equal-value merchandise, or a store credit will be issued. If the item was a special order, if the warranty cards are filled out, if it is beyond ten days of purchase, if a replacement is not available or if the equipment is no longer in new condition and you have the original sales receipt, it will be shipped back to the manufacturer for possible warranty repair. The customer will be charged the cost of shipping and insurance whenever equipment is sent out.
CHECKS: When checks are mailed to us in payment for merchandise or repairs, there is a three-week waiting period before the merchandise will be shipped. This can be avoided through the use of a credit card, certified check or money order.
LAY-AWAY: A 10% down-payment is required. Time limit is 60 days. You must have your sales receipt to pick up merchandise. If cancelled within 30 days, a store credit will be issued for the full amount paid to that point, providing you have your sales receipt. No refunds or credit will be given after 30 days.
Continental Camera is pleased to be able to offer the ability to Special Order items which we do not stock. The following policies apply:
A deposit of at least 25% is required.
You must have your receipt to pick up special ordered items.
There is no refund on deposits.
There is no return on special-ordered, non-stock items.
Cancellation of special-ordered merchandise that we normally stock--store credit will be issued for the amount of the deposit, you must have your receipt.
Cancellation of special-ordered, non-stock items--may only be cancelled if not yet ordered from the manufacturer, or if item is on back-order. If on manufacturer's back-order, it may not be cancelled until we receive an acceptance of the cancellation from the manufacturer (week days only). Store credit will be issued for the amount of the deposit, providing you have your sales receipt.
