Medium format equipment is used by professionals and serious amateurs who are looking for greater sharpness and detail in their photographs, especially when enlarged to 11"x14" or more. Medium format cameras use roll film in the 120 and 220 format. The number of frames on each roll depends upon the particular format of the camera and/or the camera back that holds the film.
Medium format cameras are larger, heavier and more costly than their 35mm counterparts. Most of them have options for viewfinders, lenses, backs, and even grips. Built-in meters are usually optional, since most professionals prefer to use a hand-held light meter, at least in certain circumstances.
We usually have several models of medium format cameras in stock, and can order many others. We are a dealer for Mamiya, Hasselblad and Pentax.Questions about medium format? Check out the rest of the information on our site or e-mail us .
